At a young age everyone knew that Ken could draw, but when Ken failed the subject Art in his HSC due to disagreeing with the content and being told that your final artwork was copied out of a Tattoo magazine. Kenny stopped concentrating on his talent as much as he did at school and slowly his talent took a back seat in his younger adult life. Kenny tried to focus on his career, family and follow the typical stereotype Aussie dream.

But as fate would have it, everything leads back to him drawing. TMD comes from Taylor Made Designs, the airbrushing business started In 2005 due to his father in law seeing all of Ken’s old drawings and pushed to start drawing and focusing on his art and a career can be made out of his talent. From this the altered ego of TMD was born. From the airbrushing culture Kenny TMD was pulled closer to the Tattoo culture, As both cultures have very similar content and clients. Through this new culture is how TMD Taylor got his start in the Tattoo Industry.
